Petey’s Promise is a small operation based in Upperco. Listing an area here means we welcome calls, supporters, volunteers and adopters from that area. It does not mean we run a facility there, and capacity to take in new dogs is limited.
Know a dog who needs help?
Tell us what you know. If the dog is in immediate danger, call your county animal services first.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is Petey’s Promise?
Petey’s Promise is a dog rescue and sanctuary effort growing out of Lyndsey Morgan’s rescue work with Obedient BLUE. It helps homeless, abandoned, medically or behaviorally challenged, senior and sanctuary dogs get food, veterinary care, rehabilitation, training, shelter and long-term support. Read our mission.
Can I surrender a dog?
We can’t promise intake. Space, resources and each dog’s needs determine what we can take on. Please contact us with details about the dog and your situation, or call (443) 377-6919, and we’ll respond as soon as we can.
Can I volunteer?
Volunteer roles are still being organized. Send a volunteer inquiry and we’ll be in touch as opportunities open up. Submitting an inquiry doesn’t guarantee a position.
Can I donate supplies?
Yes. Food, treats, beds, cots, crates, leashes, collars, cleaning supplies, towels, blankets, enrichment items and training equipment are always useful. See Donate Supplies.
