Dog Rescue & Sanctuary Near Hunt Valley, Maryland
Hunt Valley sits on the I-83 corridor, east across northern Baltimore County from our home in Upperco. Plenty of people work here, and a lunch break is enough time to sponsor a dog or send a wish-list order.
Hunt Valley and Petey’s Promise
Our dogs live and train in Upperco, not in Hunt Valley. For people who live or work along the I-83 corridor, including Cockeysville and Timonium, we’re a small local rescue you can see your support go straight into.
Workplaces are a great fit for supply drives and team fundraisers. A collection bin of food, beds or cleaning supplies goes a long way for us.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Petey’s Promise?
Petey’s Promise is a dog rescue and sanctuary effort growing out of Lyndsey Morgan’s rescue work with Obedient BLUE. It helps homeless, abandoned, medically or behaviorally challenged, senior and sanctuary dogs get food, veterinary care, rehabilitation, training, shelter and long-term support. Read our mission.
Can I surrender a dog?
We can’t promise intake. Space, resources and each dog’s needs determine what we can take on. Please contact us with details about the dog and your situation, or call (443) 377-6919, and we’ll respond as soon as we can.
Can I volunteer?
Volunteer roles are still being organized. Send a volunteer inquiry and we’ll be in touch as opportunities open up. Submitting an inquiry doesn’t guarantee a position.
Can I donate supplies?
Yes. Food, treats, beds, cots, crates, leashes, collars, cleaning supplies, towels, blankets, enrichment items and training equipment are always useful. See Donate Supplies.
