We think supporters deserve a clear, honest picture of where Petey’s Promise stands as an organization. Here it is.
Where we are today
Petey’s Promise is currently developing its formal nonprofit organization and fundraising infrastructure. Additional organizational and donation information will be published as it becomes available.
The rescue work behind Petey’s Promise has been carried out by Lyndsey Morgan alongside her training school, Obedient BLUE, and has largely been funded out of pocket. Petey’s Promise is the next step: giving that work its own organization so the community can help support it properly.
What this means for you
- Petey’s Promise is not yet a registered 501(c)(3) organization.
- Gifts are not tax deductible at this time.
- Online donations are not being processed on this website yet. No payment information is collected here.
- Supplies sent through the Amazon Wish List go directly to the dogs.
What we’ll publish when it’s official
When formation is complete we will add the organization’s legal name and status, its registration details, governance information, and how donations are processed and acknowledged. Until then, you won’t see an EIN, registration number, board list or tax-deductibility statement on this site, because none of those should be published before they exist.

Not at this time. We won’t describe any gift as tax deductible unless and until tax-exempt status is confirmed.
What is Petey’s Promise?
Petey’s Promise is a dog rescue and sanctuary effort growing out of Lyndsey Morgan’s rescue work with Obedient BLUE. It helps homeless, abandoned, medically or behaviorally challenged, senior and sanctuary dogs get food, veterinary care, rehabilitation, training, shelter and long-term support. Read our mission.
Where does my sponsorship money go?
Sponsorships support Petey’s Promise’s overall rescue and sanctuary work: veterinary care, food, medication, training and rehabilitation, safe housing, transportation, enrichment and emergency treatment. Funds may be used where the need is greatest.
