Monthly giving

Become a Monthly Supporter

A dog in sanctuary eats every day, needs medication every month and will see the vet again next season. Recurring gifts let us plan for that care instead of hoping for it.

Online recurring donations are being prepared. Please check back or contact us to learn how you can help today.

Why it matters

Why Monthly Giving Matters

One-time gifts are wonderful, and they tend to arrive in waves. The dogs’ needs don’t. Recurring support creates predictable resources, so care decisions can be made on what a dog needs, not on what happened to come in that week.

Predictable support helps cover:

Food

Daily meals and special diets.

Medication

Prescriptions and preventatives.

Veterinary bills

Exams, diagnostics and follow-ups.

Emergency treatment

Care that can’t wait.

Housing

Safe, clean, comfortable space.

Rehabilitation

Time and structure to heal.

Training

Skills and confidence.

Supplies

Beds, crates, leashes, cleaning.

Sponsorship contributions support Petey’s Promise’s overall rescue and sanctuary mission and may be used where the need is greatest. Sponsoring a dog does not necessarily mean the sponsor is covering that dog’s complete expenses. Gifts are not tax deductible at this time; see Organization Status.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Where does my sponsorship money go?

Sponsorships support Petey’s Promise’s overall rescue and sanctuary work: veterinary care, food, medication, training and rehabilitation, safe housing, transportation, enrichment and emergency treatment. Funds may be used where the need is greatest.

Does sponsoring a dog cover all of that dog’s expenses?

No. Sponsorship contributes toward overall rescue and sanctuary expenses. It does not necessarily mean you are covering a particular dog’s complete costs.

Is Petey’s Promise a nonprofit?

Petey’s Promise is in the process of establishing its formal nonprofit structure. We’ll publish organizational details when they’re official. See Organization Status.

Are donations tax deductible?

Not at this time. We won’t describe any gift as tax deductible unless and until tax-exempt status is confirmed.
