About Georgie
Georgie’s previous owners had health issues and could not take care of her, so she landed in rescue until she finds her forever home. She is perfect for someone who wants to skip the puppy and adolescent stages and simply wants a companion.
She absolutely craves attention and loves being close to her people. In her foster home she has shown what a wonderful companion she can be. She is house-trained, crate-trained, healthy, playful and wonderfully low-maintenance. She loves walks, playtime and quality time with her family, and she is good with kids.
And one thing you will never have to wonder about with Georgie: when it’s dinner time. This girl loves her food and will happily make sure you know when it’s time to eat.
Her Ideal Home
- She would do best as the only dog, where she can soak up all the attention
- A family that wants an easygoing, affectionate companion
- Kids are welcome

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a sanctuary dog?
A sanctuary dog stays in permanent or long-term care because traditional adoption would not be safe or appropriate for them, often because of medical needs, age, behavior history, bite history or special handling requirements. Sanctuary is a commitment to give them a good life anyway. Learn about sanctuary care.
Why can’t every dog be adopted?
Some dogs have ongoing medical conditions, a bite history, special handling needs or simply need more time. Placing them in a home that can’t meet those needs would put the dog and the family at risk. For these dogs, a stable sanctuary home is the safest, kindest option.
Can I sponsor a specific dog?
Yes. When you sponsor, you can choose a specific dog or support the rescue wherever the need is greatest.
Can I adopt a dog?
Only dogs specifically listed as adoptable are available for adoption. Sanctuary residents are not.
